Spring Trends for Bathroom Design

Is your bathroom looking dull and out of date? Is it in need of a serious makeover? If you are bored of the bathroom you have and want to make it the perfect place to relax in, then here are some of the 2017 spring trends for bathroom design to help inspire you to bring your bathroom right up to date.

Free Standing Baths

There is something rather luxurious about a free-standing bath and whether you prefer the more vintage styled claw-foot tub or something thoroughly modern and sleek it looks like this is one bathroom essential that will be bang on trend this year, and it really isn’t hard to see why. Of course, to show a stunning tub off to its best you could really do with a bathroom with ample space to spare to achieve this glamorous look.

Not something you really expect to see in a bathroom, and again a feature best suited to a room with plenty of extra floor space, but a large stool or chair could really make a great fashion statement in your bathroom. If you can team it with a small table to create a unique vanity style unit then so much the better; the ultimate in beauty chic and a great corner to relax and pamper yourself in.

Period Style

With period drama still so popular it’s easy to see why the trend for period bathrooms has crept into both our hearts and homes. TV dramas such as Downton Abbey, have given us a glimpse at bathrooms that are full of character and have a great timeless elegance. The free-standing bath plays a huge part in achieving this look, roll-top of course if you are being accurate. Team this with sculpted sanitary ware and those all-important brass fittings. With careful planning, and a good-sized bathroom, this look can of course be achieved equally well in a modern house or a period property.

When it comes to tiles they are going to play a huge part in bathroom design trends this year. Monochrome is in, although to be honest it was never truly out, and dark tiles can work amazingly well even in a small bathroom, despite what you might think. Big bold patterns, especially Moroccan or geometric designs are in, so too are fish scale tiles which will add a stunning fresh vibe to any bathroom.

So, whatever direction you take with your bathroom décor this season it seems like glamorous ideas and luxury touches are the key to keeping up with the spring trends
